The birth name of Mama Cax, a model and activist, was Cacsmy Brutus, and she was born in Brooklyn, New York, on November 20, 1989. She was raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

Mama Cax was diagnosed with bone and lung Cancer at the young age of 14. Due to her Cancer, Mama Cax underwent hip replacement surgery at 16 that was unsuccessful, resulting in the amputation of her right leg.

The Haitian American Model shared her health journey on Instagram a few days before her death. She uncovered blood clots in her leg, thigh, abdomen, and near a Cancer treatment filter in her lungs during a photoshoot in London.

Mama Cax’s family shared on Instagram that she lost her battle with her illness after a week of fighting in the Royal London Hospital on December 16. Her strength was the same as when she previously fought against Cancer.
