The Guinness World Records are often some of the most bizarre and extraordinary accomplishments from everyday people, and there are even a handful of celebrities and entertainers who have found themselves breaking a record or two. The Guinness World Records book holds just about every record imaginable, so it's not too surprising to see big-named stars breaking a few feats.

While no musician or actor holds the record for the longest fingernails, a few do hold pretty impressive records for their talents. From selling out the most concerts to having the most social media followers and even holding the record for "most frequent clapper," these stars below have accomplished a few one-of-a-kind records.

10 Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is an impressive human being, and not only is he Hollywood's highest-paid actor, according to Forbes, but he's been busy breaking a few world records in his spare time.

According to Insider, the actor set the record for the largest layered dip, which took five hours to create and weighed 540 pounds. However, he was later out beat by Bush's Beans, who made an over 1,000-pound dip. He also held the record for the most selfies taken in three minutes, with 105, but James Smith would beat him too, with 168.

9 Vanna White

While she isn't a musician or an actress, Vanna White has been on television for 37 years as the hostess of Wheel of Fortune. White made her first appearance on the game show in 1982 and continues to reveal letters to this day.

Being a staple of the show for so long, White was awarded a Guinness World Record certificate for the most frequent clapper. As of January 31, 2013, it was estimated she clapped at least 3,480,864 times over the course of the show's 30 seasons, which on average is 606 claps per show.

8 Betty White

Betty White has been in the entertainment business since 1939, which earned her the Guinness World Record for the female entertainer with the longest TV career.

According to the people at Guinness, White's career has spanned 74 years, and is known for her iconic appearances in The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Golden Girls, and Hot in Cleveland. In an interview for Guinness, she mentioned that she was "honored" for the acknowledgment. 

7 Eminem

Eminem has made history with his music and whether you are a fan or not, he is undoubtedly one of the most successful and greatest rappers of all time. He's also made it into the Guinness World Records for having the most words in a rap song with "Rap God," which has 1,560 words in the song alone!

With all his music success, he also holds the record for the most successful No.1 albums by a solo artist with six albums.

6 Cristiano Ronaldo

Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo is known by people all over the world, so it's not surprising that he would have a massive following on social media. In fact, his over 260 million followers on Instagram have scored him the Guinness World Record for being the most followed person on the social media platform.

Selena Gomez held the title of the most followed person on Instagram for quite a while, but it looks like more people are obsessed with what the soccer player is doing.

5 Jennifer Lawrence

At only 30-years-old, actress Jennifer Lawrence has a pretty impressive career, and her movie roles have landed her in the Guinness World Records. According to Guinness's website, the movie star holds the record for the highest-grossing female action movie star in terms of box-office hits.

Her films, including The Hunger Games series and her two movies in the X-Men franchise, have grossed just over $4 billion, making her quite the successful movie heroine.

4 Jackie Chan

What sets Jackie Chan apart from other actors in Hollywood is that he performs his own stunts. All of his action and crime-fighting scenes have given him his very own place in the Guinness World Records for most stunts by a living actor.

According to Guinness's website, the actor has been in over 100 movies since 1972 and has ended up with some pretty gruesome injuries including a broken nose, broken cheekbone, and even a broken skull.

3 Ed Sheeran

When it comes to selling out concerts, not even the Rolling Stones can out beat pop star Ed Sheeren. The "Shape Of You" singer has been awarded a Guinness World Record for his "Divide" tour in 2019 after having the highest attendance and most earnings for a single music tour.

Guinness World Record notes that over 8.8 million fans paid to see him during his tour which spanned from March 2017 until August 2019.

2 Katy Perry

While Cristiano Ronaldo holds the title for the most Instagram followers, songstress Katy Perry earned a Guinness World Record for her Twitter account becoming the first in history to amass 100 million followers. She is now the most followed woman on the social media platform, coming in third overall behind Barack Obama and Justin Bieber.

1 Jennifer Aniston

Friends star Jennifer Aniston has also made it into the Guinness World Records for her social media account. When the actress finally caved in and created an Instagram account in 2019, she set a record of gaining one million followers in just five hours and 16 minutes!

According to Guinness, that was the shortest span to reach that milestone in Instagram history. Her first photo was a selfie with her Friends' co-stars!
